Plenty of people delay moving to an external warehouse thinking they first need to order a thousand branded boxes. You don't: you can start today without your own packaging and add it when it pays off.
What we use if you send us nothing
Your order ships in the carrier's own bag. We work with GLS, Mondial Relay and Paack, and each one provides its shipping material.
We charge you nothing for it: neither the material nor the handling. It's included in the order's picking.
How your customer sees it
The parcel arrives with the carrier's branding. It doesn't carry yours — that's the trade-off — but it doesn't carry ours either: nothing in the shipment tells your buyer there's a logistics operator behind it.
It's a correct, anonymous shipment. For many products that's exactly what's needed; for a brand that lives off the experience of opening the box, it falls short.
When it makes sense to stay like this
You're starting out and don't want money tied up in material before you know how much you'll sell.
You're validating a new product: printing 500 boxes for something you might drop in three months doesn't add up.
You sell items that need no special protection or presentation: accessories, clothing, small goods.
You've run out of your box batch and don't want to stop shipping while the next one arrives.
When your own pays off
The unboxing is part of your product and what sets you apart.
You want to include a card, a sample or a gift in every order.
The item needs specific protection a bag doesn't provide.
You live off repeat purchases: the box is a brand reminder in your customer's home.
How to set it up, step by step: Packaging: your materials and per-product rules.
What each option costs
Standard packaging: €0. Included in the picking.
Your own packaging: €0.20 per order as a handling fee, plus storage for the material you send us. You see it broken down on each order, in the logistics cost, under the Packaging line.
Note the detail: those €0.20 are per order, not per unit or per box. An order with six items in your packaging pays the same as one with a single item.
In context, the handling is usually the cheapest part of your unboxing: what costs money is the printed box, not us using it.
Switching between options
Send us your material with a packaging-type inbound: how to create an inbound.
Assign the rules: which packaging each product uses.
From then on, orders for those products ship in yours.
And the other way round: remove a product's rule and it goes back to the carrier's bag without you doing anything else.
FAQ
Can I mix the two?
Yes, and it's what most people do at first: your box for the hero products and the carrier's bag for the rest. Rules are assigned product by product.
Can I choose which bag it goes in?
Not directly: the carrier is assigned by the warehouse based on destination, weight and zone, so the bag can change from one order to the next. If you need consistent presentation, the answer is your own packaging.
What if my product doesn't fit in a bag, or is fragile?
Write to us before sending the stock. Some items need a box no matter what, and it's better sorted before the first order arrives than after.
Does the parcel carry Furgox advertising?
No. We never put our brand in your shipments.
